November Paperless Statements Sweepstakes Official Rules

1. ELIGIBILITY:
This promotion is open only to residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia who are Discover Card members enrolled for Discover Card Paperless Statements as of 11:59:59 PM (CT) on 11/30/09 and are 18 years of age or older as of time of entry. Void in Florida, New York and Rhode Island and where prohibited by law. Employees of DFS Services LLC (Sponsor), its respective affiliates, subsidiaries, parent companies, and advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and/or those living in the same household of each, whether or not related, are not eligible.

2. HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
If you are already enrolled in Discover Card Paperless Statements on or before 11/30/09, you will automatically receive one entry into the sweepstakes. If you are not enrolled in Discover Card Paperless Statements, visit Discover.com/sweepstakes beginning 12:01 AM (CT) on 11/1/09 and follow the on-screen instructions to enroll. After enrolling, you will receive one entry into the sweepstakes. There is no cost associated with enrollment. To be eligible for the sweepstakes, you must enroll for Discover Card Paperless Statements by 11:59:59 PM (CT) on 11/30/09. Limit one entry per person per Discover Card.

3. RANDOM DRAWING:
A random drawing will be conducted on or about 12/21/09 from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted by D.L. Blair, Inc., an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on all matters relating to this sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

4. PRIZES & VALUES:
One (1) Grand Prize – $15,000, Three (3) First Prizes - $5,000 each. Prizes consist of only the item specifically listed as the prize. Limit one prize per person.

5. GENERAL RULES:
Potential winners will be notified via mail. Potential winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Prize Acceptance Form and, if legally permissible, a Publicity Release within 10 days of attempted delivery of same. Noncompliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable will result in disqualification without further notice and an alternate winner will be selected. Entrants' Discover Card accounts must be in good standing to be eligible to win a prize. In the event that there is more than one authorized person on a Discover Card account, the primary Card Member will be deemed the winner. You are not eligible to enter and win a prize if you have been a winner in a previous DFS Paperless sweepstakes. Winners may make no substitution or transfer of prize. All federal, state and local income taxes are the sole responsibility of winner. It takes approximately 10-14 business days to process new Discover Card applications. All applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Entrants (or parent/legal guardian if entrant is deemed a minor in his/her state of residence) agree to hold DFS Services LLC, participating issuers of Discover Cards, and their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies, and advertising and promotion agencies and the respective directors, officers, employees, and assigns of each (collectively, "Released Parties"), harmless against any claims, damages or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person arising out of use of prize or participation in any promotion-related activity. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor and its agencies to use each winner's name, city and state of residence, statements and/or likeness for purposes of advertising/trade in any and all media now or hereafter known worldwide in perpetuity without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. All materials submitted become sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned. Released Parties are not responsible for computer, network, technical, printing, typographical, human or other errors, problems or malfunctions relating to or in connection with the promotion, including without limitation, errors, problems or malfunctions which may occur in connection with the administration of the promotion, the announcement of the prizes, the processing of entries or in any promotion-related materials; or for transactions that are lost, misdirected, or fail to enter into the processing system for any reason; or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly; or are lost for any reason, including computer, telephonic, paper-transfer, or human error, or electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction, damage, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, or any combination thereof. By participating in this promotion, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between disclosures or other statements contained in any promotion materials and the terms and conditions of these Official Rules, these Official Rules shall prevail, govern and control. Sponsor may prohibit a participant from participating in the promotion or winning a prize (and void associated entry) if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said participant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion by cheating, deception or other unfair playing practices or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS PROMOTION IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Not responsible for faulty, incorrect or mistranscribed phone/e-mail transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind, technical hardware or software failures of any kind including any injury or damage to any person's computer related to or resulting from participating in or experiencing any materials in connection with the promotion, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit a user's ability to participate in the promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the promotion if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the integrity of the program; or if a computer virus, bug, or other technical problem corrupts the administration or security of the program as determined by Sponsor/judging agency/administrator, in their sole discretion. In the event of termination, a notice will be posted online and the drawing will be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to termination. Any damage made to the Web Site will be the responsibility of the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry. Proof of submitting entries will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor. Any entries which are suspected of being fraudulent (including those using robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods of participation) will be disqualified, based on determinations made solely by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right to prohibit the participation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected or if the account holder fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these Official Rules.
